Start Outlook command line

by admin on October 23, 2010

We can launch Office Outlook application from command line using the start command. ‘Start outlook‘ will open Outlook application. We need to use start command as outlook.exe path can’t be found in the standard paths that PATH environment variable points to.

We can lauch outlook from Run window by executing the command ‘outlook’.

Microsoft Outlook is typically installed in the folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\. I am  using Outlook 2007 and outlook.exe is installed in the path “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE12\OUTLOOK.EXE”
