Windows media player command line.

by admin on August 15, 2010

We can launch Windows Media Player application from Run by running the command wmplayer.  This command does not work from command line. To launch media player from command line we need to specify the path of wmplayer.exe file.  This path is not added in the default value of PATH environment variable. In a standard installation you can find wmplayer.exe in the directory “c:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\”.  Note that this opens the media player GUI and does not give control of the player to the command line like mplayer.
