Battery icon missing from system tray in Windows XP

If you don’t see battery status icon in the system tray then you can add it back using the below command.

powercfg /GLOBALPOWERFLAG on /option BATTERYICON

Note that this command works only on Windows XP and Server 2003. It does not work on Windows 7. I have not checked this on Vista but I guess it may not work there too.
