Launch Accessibility Options command prompt

by admin on July 25, 2009

In Windows XP OS, Accessibility Options window can be opened from command prompt by running the command access.cpl

c:\> access.cpl

The same command can be used from Run window to open Accessibility options window.

In Windows Vista and Windows 7 this configuration has been moved to Control Panel. Cick Ease of Acess from Control Panel list and then click on Ease of Access Center.

Access.cpl does not work on Vista and Windows 7. When we run this command from Run, a window will pop up with the error message “Windows can’t find ‘access.cpl’. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
